These efforts are part of authorities&#8217; broader initiative to improve environmental cleanliness and public health in the capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The campaign, a collaborative effort with local administrators, quarter council chairpersons, and residents, aims to strengthen community participation in maintaining clean surroundings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Simon Kenyi, Director of Health and Environment at Juba City Council, urged residents to actively participate in the weekly exercise. He also called on quarter council chairpersons to increase public awareness about the importance of cleanliness in their respective areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speaking to the media during an inspection tour on Saturday, Kenyi noted that all three blocks have collaboratively planned and are implementing the cleaning program with quarter council chairpersons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kenyi specifically called on residents across Juba City to actively participate in the weekly cleaning campaign, emphasizing that community involvement is crucial for maintaining a clean and healthy environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He further encouraged local leaders to continue mobilizing residents and raising awareness about the importance of keeping the environment clean. &#8220;We call upon all in Juba City to participate effectively in the cleaning campaign,&#8221; Kenyi stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He added, &#8220;The chairpersons of quarter councils should intensify public awareness among the people on maintaining the environment clean.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kenyi affirmed that the city council is committed to improving sanitation and environmental conditions across Juba through the ongoing implementation of the weekly cleaning program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;The city council is aiming at propelling Juba City to stand out as a model in preserving a clean and healthy environment for all residents,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile, Taban Charles Michael, Executive Director of Juba City Council, clarified that the cleaning campaign is not politically motivated, describing it as an initiative designed to benefit the wider community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;This campaign has no bearing on politics. It is humanity in its reality,&#8221; Taban asserted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He called on residents to cooperate with local administrators and participate in the cleaning activities to ensure the campaign achieves its intended purpose, stressing that cooperation between residents and local authorities is vital for the success and sustainability of the weekly cleaning campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The fourth weekly campaign is part of the city council&#8217;s ongoing efforts to promote sanitation, environmental cleanliness, and community participation throughout Juba.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Juba City Council has intensified its weekly sanitation campaign, overseeing the fourth general cleaning exercise across Kator and Munuki blocks.
