"We Dare where others fear"

The Speaker of the South Sudan national legislative assembly, Jemma Nunu Kumba on Thursday handed over the leadership of the East African Community (EAC) Bureau of Parliament Speakers to her Tanzanian counterpart.
The outgoing chairperson of EAC Bureau of Parliament Speakers, said praised her counterparts for supporting development initiatives across the seven countries that make up the regional trade bloc.
“Together we have achieved milestones and positive impacts on the lives of our fellow East Africans, our bureau has played crucial roles in fostering dialogues, promoting peace, unity and sustainable development across the African continent,” Nun unsaid during the opening of the 16th meeting of the EAC Bureau of Parliament Speakers at Pyramid Hotel in Juba.
She said the EAC Bureau of Speakers has provided platform to foster engagement and solidarity to bring about regional integration.
Kumba said the EAC parliamentary games that were last hosted in Juba, helped provide chance for people of the region to interact and build relationship that in turn will accelerate regional integration.
Tarimba Abbas, a member of the Tanzanian parliament who represented the Speaker appreciated the commitment of South Sudan’s government toward implementing the 2018 revitalized peace agreement.
He said the EAC Bureau of Parliamentary Speakers under the leadership of Tanzania will focus much on peace, unity and regional cooperation to promote sustainable development.
