"We Dare where others fear"
Some governors are responsible for the insecurity and poverty in their states, and they be held accountable for failing to manage affairs in their states.
President Salva Kiir on Monday sacked the Governor of Warrap State Manhiem Bol Malek for failing to manage security in his state and this could happen to other governors and chief administrators of the three administrative areas.
Peace and security are core issues in South Sudan at the moment. The country has been witnessing resurgence in deadly communal violence which has left hundreds dead.
For example, the recent communal violence between Ngok Dinka and Twic Mayardit community over contested land in Aneet has already claimed lives and properties of civilians including soldiers.
This kind of insecurity needs to be addressed by governors and chief administrators to prevent the country from being ungovernable.
President Salva Kiir has now ordered governors to file reports to the national council of ministers in a bid to diffuse political infighting and intrigue in the states.
This move will help hold the governors and chief administrators accountable for their actions, and also distinguish those who are successful n running the affairs of their states.
