Rumbek health science institute graduates over 70 students with diplomas

About 79 students have graduated with diplomas in nursing, midwifery and laboratory technology in Lakes State.

Speaking to graduands on Saturday at Rumbek health science institute, the Lakes state minister of cabinet affairs Mathiang Deng Monydit congratulated the students for their tirelessly commitment to pursues their studies.

 He urged midwives to work hard to improve health service delivery in the state.

Deng called on the health professionals to diagnose patients with the correct ailment and treatment.

Deng Makur Mabeny, the principal for Rumbek health science institute said that the 79 students comprising the second batch of graduates earned diplomas in clinical medicine, midwifery, nursing and laboratory technology.

 He praised the national ministry of health, Doctors with Africa CUAMM, United Nations Population Fund and the Canadian government for funding the institute.

Dr. Father, Dante Carraro, director for Doctors with Africa CUAMM said that the diploma graduates will definitely work to improve the health performance in Lakes state.

For his part, Prof. Michael Maker Mangony said that the state government will motivate and improve the working condition for the health professional as they plan to employ in the health sector.

Dr. Teran Madit Teran, medical director of Rumbek hospital said that the state hospital is lucky to receive these newly graduates.

 “Education and health are the only fundamental guiding lights which lead to progress, the efforts made by the tutors and parents have been proven right in this graduation,” said Zacharia Maker Mabor, chairperson for quality assurance.

The guild president of Rumbek health science institute, Abraham Matur Makoi appreciated the state leadership under Governor Rin Tueny Mabor for improving security in the state that has enabled students to pursue their studies.
