Warrap state leadership need to collaborate with counterparts in Lakes state to end violence

Warrap state has been experiencing intermittent communal violence which has left hundreds of people killed and injured.

The community of Twic Mayardit has also been engaged in revenge fighting with the neighboring Dinka Ngok community of Abyei Administrative Area over a strip of land in Aneet.

The violence seems to have overwhelmed authorities of both Warrap state and Abyei Administrative Area.

 The recent visit of Rin Tueny Mabor, the Governor of Lakes state to Warrap  offers hope for resolving the internecine violence in Warrap state.

Mabor has managed to restore peace and security in the once restive Lakes state. His success has become the blueprint that every governor must follow to bring peace and improved security in their states.

The national government should also do it’s part by supporting the two governors in their quest to end the killing of innocent civilians in Warrap state and Abyei Administrative Area.
