The Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) led by President Salva Kiir Mayardit on Saturday said that the upcoming general election will put an end to the bloated and confused coalition government.

“The parties in the coalition government blame the SPLM, we want to end confusion with elections, we will win the election by 98 percent as it was during the 2011 referendum,” Santo Malek Anai, the SPLM Secretary for Political Affairs and Mobilization said during the closure of the induction training for the SPLM cadres in Central Equatoria State in Bros hotel in Juba.

Anai revealed that the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement under President Salva Kiir Mayardit intends to hand over power to the youth who constitute over 72 percent of the country’s population.

“The intentions of the SPLM is to prepare youth to take the leadership of this country, that is why we have the minister of youth and sports, the deputy minister of interior and the deputy minister of agriculture, we are preparing the ground for youth,” he said.

Juma David Augustin, the Central Equatoria State SPLM Advisor on Popular and Syndicate Organization said that SPLM youth in Central Equatoria State are ready and committed to propel the party to victory in the upcoming elections slated for December 2024.
