"We Dare where others fear"

By Benjamin Takpiny
A veteran Soldier and Managing Director of Rhino Stars Company Peter Atem Ngor has called upon South Sudanese to embrace peace as brothers and sisters of one nation.
“What I want to tell our people across the country is to accept peace by putting down their guns and focus on development, peace can encourage investors to come in the country, peace make people to move around, even media guys can go and see the cultures of others tribes and capture it and show it to other people but without peace it will be difficult for us to know our cultures as south Sudanese” Ngor told the Dawn Last week in an exclusive interview.
Ngor said that South Sudan needs to be developed by nationals themselves when there is peace and unity among people.
“Let us leave tribalism I want to move across the country, like when I am in Malakal I am the son of Malakal and the same to other places. Each of the community in South Sudan is my community,” Ngor said.
Ngor urged the members of parliament to go to the states and counties to preach the word of peace and development.
“I am veteran soldier and I will never take gun and fight my own brothers, I fought during the liberation struggle to liberate my country , so whom do I want to fight again, all south Sudanese are my brothers and I will never fight anyone of them,” he said.
“South Sudanese are good on killing themselves but not good on development, I want to be good on development, don’t want to kill my brother. Anybody who gives us some work we do it, like now if the Ministry of Roads and Bridges called me and told me that there is a bridge washed away by rain I come to fix it and I want all South Sudanese to focus on what is going to benefit them than fighting and killing themselves for nothing, it pains me a lot when I hear that our youth are killing themselves during cattle raids and tribal conflicts,” Ngor added.
Ngor urged South Sudanese to shun tribalism and focus on what will develop the country.
“Don’t let yourselves be misled by those who have their own interest, do something that will bring development to our country, do something to yourself and the nation,” he disclosed.
“What are you going to do to your country as a south Sudanese citizen, are we going to continue killing ourselves on the tribal conflict that will not benefit the nation, my people I want you to leave all those tribal conflicts and focus on development let us do something for our nation, nobody is going to come from outside to build our country, it’s going to be built by ourselves, and without peace among ourselves it will be difficult to do any development,” Ngor said.
He called upon the people to unite and embrace peace across the country.
“Killing is not a solution, let us contribute to peace in our country, we need peace, I want all the comrades who are still holding arms to lay down their arms and join peace,” Ngor said.
