"We Dare where others fear"
The South Sudan People’s Defense Forces (SSPDF) needs to take lessons from the recent fire inferno at the Giada military barracks.
Fire gutted the munitions store in the barracks leaving 8 people wounded.
The SSPDF needs to come up with proper measures to store it’s munitions because failure to do this could lead to further deadly incidents.
Giada barracks is adjacent to civilian settlements and this could have been avoided if the military top leadership had prevented civilians from staying near it.
The same thing could be said about the military headquarters in Bilpham as it is also situated near civilian settlements.
The solution is to build state-of –the art munitions stores to ensure such incidents do not often happen.
We commend the army leadership for coming out to assure the public on the incident, which could have sparked rumors of sabotage and fears of another rebellion.
