Juba-Nimule road is in urgent need of repair

The most important highway in South Sudan is in a sorry state as it has become very difficult to navigate along it due to wide potholes.

The Juba-Nimule road is a critical link to neighboring Uganda through to the Port of Mombasa.

Many truck drivers and passengers have narrated the sorry state of the road with even one passenger joking that a pregnant woman could easily have miscarriage while on the road.

The government needs to provide money for rehabilitating this road due to it’s importance.

 The government is already constructing the Juba-Rumbek-Bahr El Ghazal road and others, but the sorry state of Juba-Nimule road should also be taken into serious consideration.

This road is a major lifeline of the economy and the current state of the economy could easily worsen if the cost of transporting goods into the country shoots up.

Motorists are already enduring long hours to navigate this major highway and this is costing many a lot of time and heavy losses.
