About 3,500 teachers have been confirmed to have passed the test examination by authorities in the ministry of general education and instruction of Lakes State.
Nelson Makoi Makur, the State Minister of general education and instruction on Monday said that the teachers passed phase three of the examination conducted in collaboration with Rumbek University of Science and Technology.
He said the qualified teachers are both for primary and secondary schools.
“Those who passed this test will immediately suit the working task force of the ministry of general education and instruction,” said Makur during press conference in Rumbek town.
Makur said that Governor of Lakes State Rin Tueny Mabor will forward the list and names of the successful teachers to the National Ministry of General Education and Instruction for accreditation.
Prof. Pauline Riak, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at Rumbek University of Science and Technology said that the test exams were aimed to assess the quality of teachers in order to improve the overall education quality in the State and across the country.
