The Commissioner of Juba County Emmanuel Tete Ezbon on Wednesday said they plan to relocate the traffic police office from Kubri Haboba to the Kabo area in a bid to reduce traffic congestion.
“There is a place in this side of Kabo, we will try to remove traffic police from that side with their vehicles to come and open their office this side so that they leave the space,” Ezbon said on Wednesday while briefing journalists.
He also said they plan to relocate the taxi park and bus terminals in Kubri Haboba to another location to reduce traffic congestion.
“We will organize the bus stations and try to collect the vehicles and relocate them with our people who are working there on the other side of the road,” Ezbon said.
Ezbon said the leadership will sit down after Eid al-Fitr to come up with plans to reorganize Kubri Haboba.
“We started already last week but after Eid al-Fitr, inshallah, we will sit again to put some plans at least to make Kubri Haboba free of commercial activities,” he said.
“Kubri Haboba has the most congested population and they are doing different activities, commercial activities, they (traders) usually come along the main road,” he said.
