The Governor of Lakes State Rin Tueny Mabor has stressed the need for cooperation among political parties within the transitional unity government.
Speaking during the swearing-in ceremony of newly appointed state officials on Thursday in Rumbek town, Mabor highlighted the need for freedom and political space during the upcoming December 2024 general election.
The officials, who took oath, include Nyanhok Malou Marial, minister for peacebuilding and cohesion, Samuel Gai Magok, minister for animal resources, fisheries and tourism and Isaac Luka Manga, minister for cooperatives and rural development and others.
Mabor also emphasized the importance of improving agricultural production to alleviate persistent food insecurity in the State.
The State minister for cooperatives and rural development, Isaac Luka Manga corroborated Governor Mabor by urging his cabinet colleagues to cooperate in order to deliver services to the population in the State.
