The director general for budget and revenue in the national ministry of finance and planning (MOFP), Manguen Dut Manguen on Tuesday refuted claims that he made death threats to his colleague Abraham Makur, the director general for human resource development in the ministry of public services and human resource development.

The claims appeared in a story run by online media 64 Tribes, alleging that Manguen had been charged in a court of law for fraud, forgeries and unlawful recruitment of persons into the public service payroll for the ministry of finance and planning.

“On Sunday, 64 Tribes published an allegation that I have forged documents and that I am on the run, it is not true that is a lie,” said Manguen in an interview with The Dawn in Juba.

“They say I threatened to shoot Abraham Makur, there is nothing like that, Makur is my classmate and we did not at any time quarrel,” he disclosed.

Manguen said he was promoted by the national ministry of public service to Grade 1 in the national ministry of finance.

64 Tribes also claimed that the CID police department and all units of the national police services have been directed by court to arrest Manguen Dut Manguen for forgeries, unlawful and fraudulent recruitment and self-promotion into various positions within the ministry of finance and planning.
