A senior member of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) on Monday donated more than 11 motorcycles to party mobilizers in Rumbek Central County of Lakes State.

Kawaja Kau Madol, a member of the SPLM liberation council while donating the motorcycles, said they will facilitate their mobilizers to conduct door to door campaigns ahead of the upcoming December 2024 elections.

“The people of Lakes State should rally behind Cde. Salva Kiir Mayardit as the only sole presidential candidate and flag bearer for the SPLM party in Bahr El Ghazal region and South Sudan at large,” Madol said during the handover ceremony.

He said the motorcycles will be distributed to all five the payams under Rumbek Central County.

Madol said they plan to donate more motorcycles to other counties of Lakes State.

“The SPLM is tired of this bloated transitional government and wants to bring an end to it by conducting general election,” he disclosed.

Madol said that elections will not be postponed because it’s people’s wish to vote for their leaders.
