"We Dare where others fear"

The National Minister of Gender, Child and Social Welfare Ayaa Benjamin Warille on Monday called for inclusion of youth in conflict prevention and building sustainable peace.
“As much as we have challenges, we have made progress, there is growing recognition that young people can play meaningful role in preventing and solving conflict and building sustainable peace,” Warrille said during the opening of the high-level youth sensitization forum on the East Africa Community Peace and Security Protocol in Juba.
The South Sudan High-Level Youth Sensitization Forum on EAC Peace and Security Protocol was organized under the theme: “Understanding the EAC Peace and Security Protocol and non-violence communication by East Africa Youth Parliament with support from PAX”.
Warrille revealed that youth in South Sudan have the capability to participate in the peace process, as well as maintaining peace and security from the national level to the community level.
“Young people have undeniable right to participate in peace processes but also in maintaining peace and security being from the political part, and then electoral and peace process and also informal participation at the community level,” she disclosed.
