"We Dare where others fear"

The council of ministers approved on Friday the National Youth Development Policy 2024, which seeks to empower young people to participate in decision-making at all levels of leadership in the country.
Dr. Jacob Mijok Korok, Deputy Minister for Information, Communication, Technology and Postal Services, said the council of ministers approved the policy after it was presented by Joseph Geng Akec, Minister of Youth and Sports.
Korok said youth development policy will promote conducive environment for youth empowerment and also foster youth participation in decision making and nation building.
He said the council of ministers approved the policy after making amendments.
“Overall objective of the policy is to contribute towards the attainment of a peaceful and prosperous South Sudan, where the young men and women fully develop their potential without discrimination, violence and abuse,” he said.
Korok added that policy will enable the youth to freely participate in economic and political aspects of life.
