The newly elected President for the South Sudan Bar Association, Arop Malueth Manon on Friday asked all lawyers to unite behind his leadership in order to deliver results to their expectations.

I am calling upon all lawyers to reconcile and unite so that we can deliver as lawyers on our expectations,” Malueth said during press conference held at Imperial Hotel in Juba.

He said praised the transparent manner in which the bar association elections were conducted, adding that he welcomed the decision by his opponent to concede defeat.
Stephen Martin Nechar, the Secretary General for the South Sudan Bar Association, said it is time for all lawyers to unite and work collaboratively to represent the bar association at various levels.
“As South Sudanese lawyers, we have to unite bar to contribute on national issues, the cooperation is important for the representatives of all lawyers, we call lawyers to play active role,” Nechar said.
Emmanuel Abraham Gandhi, the Deputy President for the South Sudan Bar Association, said the Advocates Alliance and Reform and Prosperity which fielded candidates in the just concluded elections should reconcile for the good of the bar association.
“The Advocates Alliance is not existing any more, we are one, I need all of us as lawyers of South Sudan to reconcile today, let us forgive ourselves, let us unite whether you are from Alliance or Reform to serve our people and South Sudan,” Gandhi said.
