The Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) said it plans to establish a financial fund to support needy university students.

“SPLM has tabled the bill for the students support fund, that fund will help students to pay school fees and feeding,” said Santo Malek Anai, the SPLM Secretary for Political Affairs, Mobilization and Organization at a ceremony held at  the University of Upper Nile in Juba on Thursday.

He disclosed that fund would support both undergraduate and post-graduate students.

“The national SPLM secretariat has already talked to the contractor to improve feeding in Upper Nile University, we are also going to install internet system,” said Anai

The students fund will provide loans or bursaries to students at college or university level.
