"We Dare where others fear"

Clerics from Episcopal Church of South Sudan (ECSS) on Saturday held prayers for the Governor of Lakes State Rin Tueny Mabor on the third anniversary since his appointment by President Salva Kiir in June 2021.
Stephen Mathiang Deng Monydit, the State Minister for Cabinet Affairs thanked the church leaders at St. Barnabas Cathedral for holding prayers for the top leader of the State.
“Prior to the appointment of Governor Mabor ther State was in mess due to communal hostilities and clashes,” said Monydit during prayer ceremony held in Rumbek town.
Monydit credits Governor Mabor for strengthening law enforcement agencies to tackle crime in the once restive State.
He also called on church leaders to work to transform the spiritual lives of the population so that they become responsible and law abiding citizens.
Governor Rin Tueny Mabor was appointed on June 8th 2021 replacing Makur Kulang.
Zacheria Magot Ater Aguai, Chairman of the Council for St. Barnabas Cathedral, hailed Governor Mabor for ending the rampant insecurity in the State.
The state was plagued by communal conflicts for many years and the current leadership has stabilized security, it is an achievement of the State worth celebrating the day of Mabor’s appointment every year,” said Magot.
Elijah Matueny Awet, the retired Bishop of Cueibet Diocese said that Governor Mabor has delivered on education, agricultural, and health.
He said that the sustained peace and stability ushered in by Governor Mabor has also seen business booming in the State.
The paryers were attended by government officials including Benjamin Makuer Mabor, Advisor on Legal Affairs, Suad Makoi Mangok, Advisor for Human Rights, and William Koji Kirjok the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, and Rebecca Enock Machuoc the Minister of Trade and Industry, Asunta James Buada the State SPLM Secretary, and Agok Monydit Mon the Director General for Administration of the State Secretariat.
