New Bank of South Sudan headquarter sets the tone for economic prosperity

The Bank of South Sudan will by the end of June be housed in a magnificent 12-floor storied building in Khor Williang suburb of Juba.

The central bank will be joining the state-owned Nile Petroleum Corporation Limited (NILEPET) in the exclusive club of state institutions with state-of-the art office space.

The Bank of South Sudan has been granted full independence, a key component in cushioning it from political interference and meddling.

The current Bank of South Sudan Governor, James Alic Garang deserves to be congratulated and respected for the vibrant leadership that has seen the Bank spread it’s tentacles across the country within a short span.

When you to go to Wau, Nimule, Aweil and to Yambio, you notice that the Bank of South Sudan is well eked in the minds of the local population.

The Central Bank is attempting to remain a major catalyst for economic growth and prosperity in the country, and this is being demonstrated in it’s grand vision to open up branches, training institutes and other initiatives across the country.
