"We Dare where others fear"

The Turkish Embassy together with the Turkiye Diyanet Foundation on Saturday pledged to continue providing humanitarian assistance to vulnerable people in need in the country.
“Our development and aid agencies are always active in South Sudan, apart from our development agencies, there are also Turkish civil society organizations coming to South Sudan to reach South Sudanese in different States during every religious holidays as well as other periods in the year,” said. Erdem Mutaf, the Turkish Ambassador to South Sudan during distribution of meat to needy for families in Juba on the festive of Eid Al-Adha.
The meat distribution was conducted by the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation together with the South Sudan Islamic Council.
Mutaf revealed that food donation was made possible through the contributions of the Turkish people.
He noted that the Turkish embassy together with the Turkiye Diyanet Foundation expect to provide humanitarian assistance this year to about 100,000 people in Juba,Western Bahr El Ghazel State and Upper Nile State.
“We are reaching out with donations to our needy people in several parts of the country, this year we also extend our love to the Islamic world in general and particularly to South Sudan, and we appreciate the Turkish people for their support,” said Selahattin Aydin, the representative of the Turkiye Diyanet Foundation.
Abdalla Baraj Rwal, the Secretary General for the South Sudan Islamic Council commended the Turkish people for the support provided to the people of South Sudan.
“We appreciate Turkiye Diyanet Foundation and Turkish people for this generous support to the needy people, we welcome the support from our brothers from Turkiye, it is not the first time Turkiye Diyanet Foundation is giving out support to the people of South Sudan, this support will strengthen the bilateral relationship between the Islamic communities and between the two sisterly countries,” said Rwal.
He noted that they remain ready to cooperate with the Turkiye Diyanet Foundation in the future.
