The government on Tuesday presented its first-ever Voluntary National Review (VNR) on Sustainable Development at the U.N. High Level Political Forum (HLPF) in New York on 16, July 2024.
The VNR assesses the progress the country has made in implementing its 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals.

“We will also have the opportunity to learn lessons and best practices from the other presenting countries,” Dongrin said.
He said the VNR report provides government, development partners and stakeholders the opportunity to collectively reflect on progress made and challenges faced on the road to achieving SDGs.
“I call upon our collective action of the government, donors, development partners and citizens of South Sudan to accelerate progress on Sustainable Development Goals to enhance a better future for all South Sudanese,” Dongrin said.
