A passionate local business woman Noela Mogga has initiated a program dubbed “Taste of South Sudan” to broaden market for shea butter oil.
“Today we introduced our product which is shea butter, we are just coming back again with strong force to enter the market so that the South Sudanese people know that we exist and we are here to serve them,” said Mogga,45, on Saturday at Baobab House during the first annual shea butter and tea party
Mogga said that she seeking to expand her business niche across the States.
‘If we grow and that is our hope, we will be able to expand into a bigger company with better distribution system,” she said.
Mogga revealed that she exports shea butter oil to clients in Switzerland, Norway, Britain, Canada and the United States of America, adding that she is working hard to balance between market supply and demand.
“Basically we produce according to order, when people buy more then we are able to produce more, there is a balance between not having too much products on the shelf and having enough for the people,” she said.
Mogga employs about 5 people and she hopes to increase the number of workers depending on the company’s growth.
“The biggest problem for us now is to get the message out, we have to do a lot of marketing and publicity, and there is still not enough people knowing that they can use something natural that do not have added chemicals,” she disclosed.
Mogga is a trained medical doctor specializing in anesthesiology in the State of Texas in the United States of America.
Shea butter oil commonly known as Lulu oil is produced from Shea butter Nilotica tree which grows naturally around the green belt in parts of South Sudan.
