"We Dare where others fear"

The Jonglei State Minister of Information and Communication, Nyamar Thichot Lony Ngundeng said the state government is determined to resolve the conflict between Ayual of Twic East County and Hol of Duk County.
“The government of Jonglei State has taken the matter and will update the public with the resolutions. In the meantime, the government of Jonglei State urges the two sides to remain calm and not carry out anymore attacks,” said Ngundeng on Thursday in an emailed interview.
On Wednesday, members of parliament in State legislative assembly formed a seven member committee headed by lawmaker Maker Chol Adol to investigate the root causes of the communal conflict.
In September 2023, communal clashes between the two rival communities in Lang area left three people killed including a prominent wrestler.
In June 2024, fighting in the same area left 7 people dead and scores wounded.
