Government asks for technical support from World Bank

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ramadan Mohammed Abdallah Goc assured Charles Undeland, the new World Bank Country Manager for South Sudan of the government’s support to facilitate the bank’s activities.

Goc emphasized the need to work together to achieve social development and encouraged the bank to do more in terms of providing technical support.

The Minister met with Charles Undeland to discuss enhancing cooperation between the World Bank and South Sudan, according to a statement published on the Facebook page of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday

Goc expressed appreciation for the World Bank’s assistance to the country.

Undeland conveyed his gratitude and stated that the bank is committed to providing sufficient assistance within the country.

He explained that the World Bank aims to promote betterment, reduce poverty, and deepen its relationship with South Sudan to deliver better results for the South Sudanese people.
