The Governor of Central Equatoria State Augustino Jadallah Kamilo Wani on Wednesday received evaluation reports on revenue, assets and administrative performance.
“We have given our report to his Excellency the Governor with our recommendations, for us the report is for the State to be able to do it’s work professionally, the governor will reveal the content of the report,” said Simon Kiman Lado, the Chairperson of the Committee on State Affairs, Budget and Revenue Generation and Investment after handing over the report in Juba.
He said the process was not an investigation but a procedure to help the new administration deliver on its prescribed mandate.
“The governor wants to know the state of affairs and exactly how he takes up from where the last administration started. I believe it is to inform him on how he can continue,” said Lado.
Clement Maring Samuel, the Deputy Chairperson for the committee on disposal of government assets, land and properties, said they are not authorized to expose details of the report.
“We cannot do it ourselves, the governor is the legitimate person to give the details of the evaluation report to the public,” said Maring.
Johnson Soka Jada, the chairperson of the committee on administrative issues said that the purpose of the three committees is to inform the state administration on ways forward.
The three committees were formed in May 2024 by the Central Equatoria State Governor Augustino Jadallah Kamilo Wani.
