Telecom companies announce tariff adjustment amid soaring inflation

Telecom companies MTN, Zain and Digitel have announced increment of tariffs for mobile calls and internet data bundles in line with the current exchange rate.

Telecom companies MTN, Zain and Digitel have announced increment of tariffs for mobile calls and internet data bundles in line with the current exchange rate.

 “We collectively wish to inform our valued customers and stakeholders of the forthcoming second phase of tariff adjustment effective from 1st August 2024. This adjustment is being implemented In compliance with the recently approved exchange rate by the Bank of South Sudan and the National Communication Authority,” said a joint statement from the mobile telecom companies issued on Thursday in Juba.

The companies said they recognize the importance of transparent communication, adding that these adjustments are essential to ensure continued investment in cutting-edge technology, network reliability and enhanced customer service.

 They assured customers that all efforts have been made to minimize the impact of these adjustments on their telecommunications costs.

“Our commitment to providing affordable and reliable services remains strong, and we will continue to look for ways to improve customer experience. We appreciate your continued support and look forward to serving you better,” they said.
