The governor of Central Equatoria state, Augustino Jadala Kamilo Wani in his 100 days in office effected changes in the state revenue authority and insurance authority to ensure effective revenue collections.
Wakhe Simon Wudu, the press secretary of the governor of Central Equatoria state, Augustino Jadala Kamilo Wani has closed loopholes in revenue collections within his first 100 days in office as the governor.
“During his 100 days in office, the governor effected some changes in state revenue authority and insurance authority by appointing new executive directors, he also effected changes in the revenue office of Yei River Zone, this move is aimed at ensuring effective administration of the two institutions,” said Wudu on Thursday during press conference.
Wakhe revealed that governor Wani and his leadership have already embarked on setting a path to addressing numerous challenges across the state, adding that the governor has directed spending to state ministry of finance.
Wakhe also disclosed that the challenges facing the state range from insecurity, economic hardships, humanitarian challenges, ineffective road infrastructure, rule of law and order, inadequate health and education services.
“His Excellency the governor has promised to handle the challenges together with all stakeholders in the government including the law makers, security agents, civil society, faith-based institutions, the national government and both national and international partners,” said Wakhe.
