Over 900 excel in CSE in Lakes state

At least 980 students who sat for the 2023 Certificate of Secondary Education (CSE) have passed in Lakes State.

At least 980 students who sat for the 2023 Certificate of Secondary Education (CSE) have passed in Lakes State.

Barnaba Abuodd Athian, the Secretary for Lakes State Examination on Thursday while announcing the results in Rumbek praised education managers and stakeholders  for the effort made to provide quality knowledge to the learners across the State.

The total of 1,345 candidates sat in 22 centers for the CSE exams in Lakes State.

Gabriel Maluac Yak, the Director General for General Education and Instruction in the State Ministry of General Education, said the 2023 CSE have been graded in a new format introduced by the national examination council.

 Nelson Makoi Makur, the State Minister of General Education and Instruction, said that among the the students who passed 221 are females and 759 males.

He thanked the teachers for imparting knowledge to the students who excelled in the CSE exams, adding that the peace and security ushered by Rin Tueny Mabor the Governor of Lakes State has ensured safe environment for learners in the State.

 Makur also praised Awut Deng Achuil, the National Minister of General Education and Instruction for implementing free and compulsory education.

He noted that that there was no incident of examination malpractice in Lakes State.
