"We Dare where others fear"

When nations aspire to fulfill their potential in all sectors of life, they must build around their best brains to propel them towards improved peace, security and prosperity.
For the case of South Sudan, the few outstanding intellectual assets are being denigrated falsely by myopic individuals with the aim of sabotaging national economic progress.
The wanton attacks on individuals with impeccable integrity and incorruptible record such as Dr. James Alic Garang, the Governor of the Bank of South Sudan by malicious individuals with ulterior motives such as the disgraced former news anchor of the State-owned South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation (SSBC), Garang John are despicable and lack evidence and any moral standing.
Garang John has been at it by first accusing several high profile individuals within the Administration of President Salva Kiir such as the head of the National Security Services (NSS) Akol Koor Kuc, and even the President himself of being unable to discharge their duties.
This disgraced former journalist who was released from NSS detention in March 2023, has never come out to tell the public the reasons why he was detained. Garang John, according to inside sources is a treacherous young man who attempted to taint the very individuals whom he sought favours from.
The saying “one cannot bite the hand that feeds he or her” came back to haunt Garang John. High profile individuals such as former Chief –of- Staff of the South Sudan People’s Defense Force (SSPDF), Gen. Paul Malong Awan, Akol Koor Kuc and even President Salva Kiir contributed immensely to the wedding of Garang John on the latter’s request.
Though his marriage failed in it’s infancy, Garang John is now at the service of a cartel which pays him to falsely accuse particular individuals of wrongdoing, with the aim of causing public disenchantment towards these individuals.
The latest victim of these concocted and fabricated lies and allegations with no facts is reputable economist Dr. James Alic Garang, whom Garang John claimed recently that he was engaged in inside trading.
Garang John alleged first that Dr. James Alic Garang was operating the largest forex bureau with his close associates, and also lately he alleged that money amounting to 1.7 million U.S dollars was stolen at the official residence of Governor Alic by one of his body guards.
All these allegations were dismissed by the Bank of South Sudan, and even the aides of the Governor.
Some of the so called journalists in Juba, have been found wanting in their quest to seek sympathy and asylum outside on the claims of being persecuted or targeted for elimination by state security operatives.
Garang John falls in this category of desperate asylum seekers who busy themselves on creating imaginary adversaries in Juba to get asylum.
James Alic Garang personally seems surprised by the incessant derogatory and abusive allegations leveled at his personality by an individual he has never met in person at any onetime in life.
South Sudanese who love populism are the worst enemies of progress in this country, because they continue to mislead their myopic social media followers on issues they have either no clue about or intentionally resort to harm reputable individuals who are assets to this country.
James Alic Garang is among the few PHD holders in this youngest country, and his record speaks volume of the intellectual he is.
The fact that he earned his PHD from the revered University of Massachusetts tells everything about his intellectual prowess.
Alic is a man with rare knowledge and skills that South Sudan can benefit from, his stint with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) as Advisor on Africa Affairs speaks volumes of what he is capable of doing at the Bank of South Sudan.
Demagogues who are paranoid such as Garang John should desist from blackmailing individuals with sound minds and credible repertoire such as James Alic Garang.
