SPLM youth league holds two-day conference in Lakes State

The Sudan People’s Liberation Movement youth league on Tuesday held a two-day conference aimed at reorganizing party structures in Lakes State.

The Sudan People’s Liberation Movement youth league on Tuesday held a two-day conference aimed at reorganizing party structures in Lakes State.

Rin Tueny Mabor, the Governor of Lakes State said during the opening of the conference that it provides opportunity for youth and SPLM supporters to learn from the surviving historical members of the liberation party.

He asked the youth to promote peace and unity in the State.

Mabor also spoke about the impact caused by recent heavy floods in Rumbek East, Awerial, Cueibet, Rumbek North, Yirol East and Wulu.

He said that the state task force committee and national task force on floods are doing their best to to mitigate the impact of the floods.

Marial Abraham Makur, Chairperson of the SPLM youth league in Lakes State said praised Mabor for opening political space for all political parties to mobilize and conduct activities without being hindered by security organs.

He also lauded the State government for appoint youth representatives at various levels of leadership.

Asunta Bawoda James, the SPLM Secretary in Lakes State called party officials to respect the party’s constitution.

For his part, Dut Manak Akuot, the representative of political parties said that the conference is very important for building the strong relationship between the SPLM and friendly political parties.
