Government launches registry manual to manage records

The National Ministry of Public Service and Human Resources Development launched on Monday the registry manual that will help improve record keeping and information system across all sectors of government.

Dak Duop Bichiok Bichiok, the Minister of Public Service and Human Resource Development, said during the launching ceremony at Radisson Blu hotel in Juba, that the registry manual will remove loopholes in the records system.

 “The ministry of Public Service and Human Resources Development will ensure that all records departments are acquainted with proper registry and documentation, effective records management are at the heart of accountability and good governance,” he said.

Bichiok revealed that the success of the reforms being rolled out with the public service ministry depend on proper, accurate and organized methods of managing records and information system.

The one-day training for record managers and information officers on record management was organized by the Ministry of Public Service and Human Resource Development with support from the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
