"We Dare where others fear"

The government of Ruweng Administrative Area has designated about 250,000 fedans to both local and foreign investor interested in doing large-scale farming in the area.
Tiob De Monyluak De Diran, Chief Administrator of Ruweng Administrative Area said on Friday during the celebration of World Food Day in Pariang, that they are aiming to attract foreign investors to invest in agriculture.
In 2024, local authorities of Ruweng initiated an agricultural project covering 3,000 feddans, where they managed to grow food in at least 2,500 fedans in the agricultural area.
“It is 2,500 fedans that we made in only two weeks, given the machinery and the equipment we had, but then again being obstructed by the rain that had fallen very heavily because we started relatively late, Monyluak during a ceremony organized by the UN Food and Agriculture organization (FAO) to celebrate World Food Day.
The celebrations were held under the theme,“Right to foods for a better life and a better future – leave no one behind”.
Monyluak called for the establishment of drip irrigation and other modern farming techniques to strengthen food production in Ruweng Administrative Area and the entire country.
He disclosed that they plan to plant vegetables and fruits in the area of Chong Anok in Lake No County, adding that they need the support of the FAO and investors to invest in the agricultural sector.
Monyluak urged donors and investors to commit to strengthening the agricultural sector.
He noted that the government of Ruweng administrative area is initiating projects to strengthen partnerships with community organizations, non-profit organizations and the private sector.
