Blessed Junior School wins 2024/25 School talent competition

Blessed Junior School has been crowned winner of the 2024/25 talent competition for primary schools held on Thursday, last week at Nyakuron Cultural Center in Juba.

Blessed Junior School has been crowned winner of the 2024/25 talent competition for primary schools held on Thursday, last week at Nyakuron Cultural Center in Juba.

The event was organized by the South Sudan Schools Talent Show Association in collaboration with the Ministry of General Education and Instruction.

Kisitu Christian, Administrator of Blessed Junior School expressed happiness after the  school emerged winners at the two-days event, which saw Nursery, Primary and Secondary Schools compete in the competition in various categories.

 “We feel blessed and honored to scoop this first trophy in the primary category,” Christian told The Dawn in an interview on Tuesday.

Christian said the victory will motivate learners to grow their skills, talents and academics.

Blessed Junior School won the primary schools category of gospel mime and news reading,

“On behalf of my team, I want to say we worked very hard together, supported each other, and couldn’t have done it without our amazing teachers and everyone who believed in us,” Christian said.

“This exposure is proof to the public that as a school, we offer an all-round holistic education to our learners to become better citizens in and outside South Sudan,” Christian  added.

Christian thanked the Minister of General Education and Instruction, Awut Deng Acuil together with her team for organizing the competition, and also commended their transparency during the competition which ensured the winners were worth the prizes.

Anabel Nyolanita, a primary 4 learner at Blessed Junior School who was voted among the best performers in the competition, said this is the first time for her school to win the prestigious trophy.

During the competition, Children competed in activities such as Gospel mimes, news reading, comedy, spelling bee, modeling, culture, traditional dance and eating competitions.

These competitions involved Nursery, Primary and Secondary Schools around Juba City in a bid to promote School age going children’s talents and future prospects.

Blessed Junior School  is a  Nursery and Primary School, Located in Jondoru off Kajo Keji Road near the New central bank of South Sudan
