"We Dare where others fear"

Several officials in Lakes State who attended on Friday the public viewing of the body of the deceased former Governor of the defunct Lakes State, Abraham Makoi Bol Kodi, have hailed him as a true patriot who not only fought during the liberation war but also left indelible mark on the community of Lakes State.
Chol Kuotwel Manhom, State Minister for Local Government and Law Enforcement Agencies, said during the ceremony attended by the Governor of Lakes State, Rin Tueny Mabor, that the late Kodi should be buried as statesman, liberator and nationalist.
He said that Kodi served his country in different capacities including as village administrator in 1995,and minister of local government in 2013, adding that the late also served member of parliament representing Rumbek town constituency No.9 in the state parliament.
The Speaker of the State legislative assembly, Agum Jacob Chagai , also described Kodi as a patriotic citizen who was honest and cooperated with his people at all levels.
Deer Makuer Gol, Executive Chief of Rumbek Central County decried the multiple untimely deaths of prominent citizens since the beginning of this year.
