"We Dare where others fear"

The Vice President for Service Cluster, Hussein Abdelbagi Akol Agany, has been confirmed as the interim party President of the opposition party South Sudan Patriotic Movement/ Army (SSPM/A) until elections are held by the party he leads in the near future.
The Spokesperson of the SSPM party, Stephen Lual Ngor, said the national leadership council (NLC) of the party in its extraordinary meeting passed a vote of no confidence against the chairperson Dr. Costello Garang Riiny Lual as per article 27 (2) (B&C) of the party’s 2022 Constitution.
The National Leadership Council (NLC) of the SSPM/A unanimously resolved to confirm Hussein Abdelbagi Akol Agany as the interim chairperson of SSPM/A until convention of the movement takes place,”
The NLC also confirmed Joseph Abdallah Sudani as the interim Deputy Chairperson and Abdalrahim Albino Daniel as interim Secretary General of the party.
Ngor also urged the parties within the South Sudan Opposition Alliance (SSOA) to reaffirm as the official spokesperson of SSOA.
He disclosed that the reason for the expulsion of the former Chairperson of SSPM/A aws in accordance with Articles 27 clause 2 B&C which violates the code of collaboration between the latter and the entire membership of the party.
Ngor reiterated the party’s commitment to the implementation of the 2018 Revitalized Agreement on the resolution of the Conflict in the Republic of South Sudan, and as well as to the opposition coalition (SSOA).
