Several resolutions of the past Governor’s Forum remain on the shelf as they have not been implemented.

The ongoing 8th Governor’s Forum should have mainly focused on revisiting the resolutions of 2023, to see if they have been put into action. This would avoid this forum from being a talking shop that never implements it’s impressive outcomes.

The business as usual modus should be ended because the country faces serious existential problems, which require pragmatism and seriousness beyond photo opps.

The Governor’s and Heads of the three Administrative Areas should be asking the top leadership on what happened to the previous resolutions. The problems facing the country have been and still are food insecurity, communal violence, lack of infrastructure and many others.

These should be the main points of discussion because they keep on remaining ever present each year.

The Governor’s Forum risks turning into a serious talking shop for our leaders if the outcomes remain paper tigers.
