"We Dare where others fear"

The Secretary of Political Affairs, Organization and mobilization of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM), Santo Malek Anai has urged hold-out opposition parties to reach consensus with the transitional unity government delegation on the renegotiation of the 9 signed protocols at the Tumaini initiative.
“We need the hold-out groups to accept this initiative, let them accept the 9 protocols to be renegotiated that is the only way to bring peace home,” said Anai during Christmas carol held at the SPLM General Secretariat on Friday.
He called for unity across the political divide and urged them to support President Salva Kiir Mayardit, whom he called a man of peace.
Anai emphasized the importance of the parties at the negotiating table to understand each other in order for the country to achieve comprehensive peace through the Tumaini talks in Nairobi.
“With the peace process going on with our brothers, I am calling on them to respond positively to the position paper we have submitted to them because we need peace,” he said.
