The Governor of Central Equatoria State, Gen. Augustino Jadalla Kamilo Wani, on Friday launched the rehabilitation of Jale-Kaya road and some key internal roads in Kajo-Keji County.
The launching held in Kajo-Keji County on Friday is part of the State government’s effort to improve road connectivity within the State, to boost security and promote socio-economic growth.
Governor Jadalla who arrived in Kajo-Keji to officiate the event urged for unity among the people of Kajo-Keji County, according to a statement issued by his press unit.
He said that developing road infrastructure will enhance road connectivity to enable refugees to return home.
Jadalla promised to ensure the rehabilitation of all roads across parts of the State.
For his part, Mawa A. Moses, the State Minister of Roads and Bridges said that his ministry is also engaging the National Ministry of Roads and Bridges to construct Juba-Kajo-Keji road.
“My people of Kajo-Keji, we all have the dream that all these roads should be worked on but we are limited with the situation and that is the financial situation,” said Moses.
Meanwhile, David Lisi Christopher, the Commissioner of Kajo-Keji County thanked Governor Jadalla for presiding over the rehabilitation of the road, adding that it will improve security in the County upon completion.
“These roads we are making will help us a lot especially in carrying out our activities within Kajo-Keji. So, let us make the necessary efforts to improve the roads and where we end we shall stop,” said Lisi.
