Azande kingdom set for 3rd Anniversary celebrations

The Azande king Atoroba Peni Rikito Gbudue has informed his ministers, church leaders and chiefs to work with the youth to prepare the 3rd Anniversary celebration of the kingdom.

King Atoroba Peni Rikito Gbudue has entrusted the youth of the Azande kingdom with the significant responsibility of organizing the kingdom’s 3rd Anniversary celebration.

The historic event is scheduled for February 9, 2025, at the Royal Palace in Yambio. This decision underscores the king’s commitment to empowering the younger generation and fostering their leadership in shaping the kingdom’s future.

The king appointed Isaac Sabir Khamis Gbuku, as the Chairperson of the organizing committee.

Sabir will collaborate closely with his deputy from Eastern County (Mvolo) to lead the efforts, to ensure effective coordination. Another team led by Ibingo Isaac in Juba will assist the main committee in Yambio.

Over the weekend new Abanyiki(Ministers) updated the organizing committee for the 3rd Anniversary of the Azande kingdom at the Royal Palace State Secretariat.

The Abanyaki(ministers) Head in the kingdom, Tadeo Mario Sasa appreciated the move taken by the king to task the youth to lead   the 3rd Anniversary celebrations which will commence on February 9, 2025.

Sasa said there is reason why the king has tasked the youth to lead the Anniversary celebrations.

He thanked the youth for accepting the king’s assignment to the youth, adding that the celebrations will be the most colorful compared to the past years.

Chairman of the organizing committee, Sabir Isaac, detailed key achievements and outlined ongoing efforts to ensure the event is a grand success.

Modern two-in-one toilet block, with separate sections for men and women, has been constructed.

He said Security Arrangements Letters have been dispatched to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and National Security to guarantee safety and maintain peace during the event.

To keep the community informed and engaged, the committee has utilized local radio stations and WhatsApp groups, fostering active communication and participation.

Sabir acknowledged the financial constraints and the difficulty of reaching some community leaders but expressed satisfaction with the progress made. Chiefs, sub-chiefs, and youth representatives have been mobilized to rally community support for the celebration.

The meeting concluded with a call for unity and collective effort from all stakeholders to make the 3rd Anniversary a historic milestone for the Azande Kingdom.
