Western Equatoria State Ministry of Housing, Land, and Public Utilities has donated borehole drilling materials to the Azande Kingdom’s 3rd Anniversary Committee, marking a significant gesture of support for the kingdom’s development efforts.

The handover ceremony took place on Tuesday at the ministry’s premises in Yambio, where the State Director of Water and Sanitation, Wilson Morris Bagadi, reaffirmed the ministry’s dedication to advancing infrastructure and resource availability in the region.

“This is what we have at hand to provide to the kingdom. We are committed to supporting any future requests and will lobby for additional resources. This donation is free of charge,” said Bagadi.

He also called on development partners to rally behind the Azande Kingdom as it grows, highlighting the importance of collective efforts in supporting the young monarchy.

Anthony Ezekiel Ndukpo, the Acting Commissioner for Water and Sanitation in Western Equatoria State of Water and Irrigation, emphasized the ministry’s broader commitment to ensuring clean water access for all communities within the kingdom.

“This is our duty to provide clean drinking water to the people. We promise to work closely with the kingdom to ensure this goal is achieved,” said Nduko.

Sabir Isaac Khamis Gbuku, Chairperson of the Youth Committee for the Azande Kingdom’s 3rd Anniversary celebrations, expressed gratitude to the ministry for its timely contribution.

“Water is life. The support from the Ministry of Housing and Public Utilities will be remembered forever by the Azande Kingdom. We are very happy to receive this donation,” said Gbuku.

He also called for unity among all South Sudanese tribes, stressing that the kingdom belongs to everyone.

“The kingdom is for everyone, not just the royal family. I call on the 64 tribes of South Sudan to unite and promote love, peace, and togetherness,” said Gbuku.

The donation comes as the Azande Kingdom prepares to celebrate its 3rd anniversary in 2025, a milestone symbolizing the kingdom’s cultural revival and its role in fostering unity and development in Western Equatoria State and beyond.
