"We Dare where others fear"
Traders, who were evicted from the site where the construction of the Juba mall is taking place, should be given first priority to occupy space in the new modern market (Mall) when complete.
The Juba Mall a project that commenced in 2023 is funded by the African Development Bank in partnership with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
The market being constructed by Infinity Development Construction Company will be the first modern market in Juba.
This particular project has of recent been in the news headlines due to the complaints by some traders that they may be left out once the market is complete.
The Chairperson of the Central Equatoria State Chamber of Commerce, Robert Pitia Francis, has even gone on to call on Juba City Council authorities to write a letter committing them to ensure first priority is given to the traders who were evicted on the land where the market stands.
This appears to be the sensible thing to do since an earlier promise was made to the traders by former Mayor of Juba city, Michael Ladu Allah Jabu.
