"We Dare where others fear"

The Chairperson of the African Independent Party (AIP), Ajiek Taban, has asked political leaders to abide by the constitutional provisions in order for the country to maintain law and order.
“We need to refrain from politics that create divisions among the people of South Sudan. We need to have politics that unites people of South Sudan, they should know that all of us are advocating for a policy of unity, not division,” said Taban on Wednesday in an interview.
Taban revealed that some politicians often incite their communities to attack military installations, adding that this has potential to destabilize the security of the country.
“We don’t need the country to have two armies, it was wrong in the first place to have two armies in the country, we are in the period of peace agreement, which all other parties have already signed,” he said.
Taban said people should work within the constitution because if they work out of the constitution, that means they are practicing injustices which results in instability across the country.
“The revitalized peace agreement is the constitution that binds us together and bringing all the different political parties. We are one tribe, one nation and one people,” he said.
