"We Dare where others fear"

President Salva Kiir Mayardit and his visiting Ugandan counterpart Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, on Thursday discussed peace, security and trade issues in Juba.
Ramadan Mohamed Abdallah Goc, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, said the two countries have a long list of bilateral issues that need to be implemented with the guidance of the two heads of state.
“We have a long list of bilateral issues that the two ministries of foreign affairs and other government institutions in the two countries, we have been actually working to achieve some progress on, we are happy as the two ministries of foreign affairs that today the two heads of state they were with us. We have been doing all this for a very long time without our two heads of state, but today we are happy that we continue also our meetings in presence of the two heads of state,” said Goc during a media briefing.
Goc noted that they also briefed President Museveni about the security situation in South Sudan and the status of the implementation of the peace agreement, adding that they assured him and his delegation of the government’s commitment towards implementation of the 2018 revitalized peace agreement.
Meanwhile, John Mulimba, Uganda’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs in charge of Regional Affairs, said they held discussions on the issues of commerce and trade including the social and economic issues.
“We have had a cordial meeting relating touching on issues between our two governments, which are of mutual benefits between the two governments. We have touched on the topic of peace and security between our two states but also in the region,” said Mulimba.
President Museveni will be meeting other South Sudanese officials on Friday.
