Kuyok revealed that examination invigilators worked to ensure that every candidate gets the opportunity to sit for the 2024 Certificate of Primary Education and Certificate of Secondary Education respectively.

“The country raised funds to finance all examination stages in spite of the relentless economic challenges in the country, the team at the Secretariat of the National Examination Council, had to work seven days a week to ensure that the examinations are processed and the results are available to the Council in spite of the unnecessary delay that has been caused by the sad economic situation,” he said.

William Ater Machiek, the Education Advisor in the Ministry of General Education and Instruction, said the education system is currently in emergency situation, adding that this needs to change for the betterment of the learners.

“When we were still in the liberation struggle, we established a strong system of education, what we need is a system of education that will deliver better education,” said Machiek.
