The Member of Parliament calls for renewed unity and reconciliation in South Sudan. This comes after the conclusion of the conference which was led by the Nigerian prophet Chidi Ibenado in Juba.

Speaking to the press on Sunday, the deputy chairperson of the specialised committee for information, Natalina Amjima Malek, emphasised the significance of the prophet’s visit, describing it as a spiritual and diplomatic bridge between South Sudan and Nigeria.

“We are here today in the church because we have received a prophet from Nigeria who came to preach during our feast,” Malek said.

“This visit is not just about preaching; it symbolises a growing relationship between our two nations.”

Malek highlighted the role of religious gatherings in spreading peace throughout the country, stressing that churches have a unique influence on the hearts and minds of the people.

“We can bring peace in many ways, and one of the most powerful is by preaching peace in the church,” she added.

Malek urged the wider community to continue preaching peace and reconciliation.

“To all Christians outside South Sudan and inside South Sudan, we need to preach peace and reconciliation for our country,” she said. “If we commit to this, South Sudan will become a peaceful, loving country with a good country,” she disclosed.

Meanwhile, the founder of the Church of God’s Love for All Nation, James Anei Demi, said the peace conference has ended successfully.

‘’Why we are praying for peace in South Sudan is because everyone is thinking the wrong way, and this is a demon that is confusing the country. We as the church members have the belief that South Sudan will have lasting peace,’’ Demi said.

Demi called on the people who rebel against the government to come and dialogue since killing is not the solution.

“I am not a politician, so I call upon the people who are in the bush to come and dialogue with the government, since bullet is not the solution,” he said.

The event concluded with collective prayers for both nations, reinforcing the spiritual and diplomatic message of unity.
