Korean soccer coach plans to train blind football team ahead of 2028 Olympics

The South Korean football coach, Hung Se Lim who has long been training South Sudan’s national football team has made commitment to train the Blind Football team ahead of the 2018 Olympics to be held in Los Angeles, United States of America (USA).

The South Korean football coach, Hung Se Lim who has long been training South Sudan’s national football team has made commitment to train the Blind Football team ahead of the 2018 Olympics to be held in Los Angeles, United States of America (USA).

The blind football training guaranteed by the South Korean football coach on Saturday came in the aftermath of his donations of sportswear to the South Sudan Blind Football team

“For the meantime, I have been engage in training the South Sudan senior national team, I am also committed to support and train the National Blind Football team,” said Lim on Saturday in an interview.

Lim said since South Sudan has launched the Blind Football team with the help of Paralympic Association of South Sudan, the Blind Football team will participate in the next Olympic game which is going to be held in Los Angeles of USA in 2028.

In April 2023, the Blind football league, the then first of its kind in South Sudan was organized catering for visually impaired players with the aim of pushing them to participate in regional and international tournaments.

In Blind football, the balls and goal posts used for the matches are designed and equipped with alarms that ring to alert the players of their location on the pitch and as well to adjust the game and accommodate the players.
