The Akoc community leader worldwide, Gen. Bona Panek Biar, said that the community leadership is committed to fostering improved the development in Akoc Payam.

Speaking at the Akoc Community Conference, Biar noted that the event brought together community members, leaders, and potentially government officials to discuss important issues, promote unity, and outline a path forward for community development at the payam level in the rural area.

“Such gatherings are vital for strengthening community bonds and addressing local challenges, such as network connectivity, handpumps, roads, and education. We also celebrate the achievements of the 2007 conference. The success of this conference indicates a strong sense of engagement and a collective desire for progress within Akoc Payam.”

The Akoc Community Conference held this week had three agendas: the reconstruction of the road from Ameth to Agar, the installation of network services in Wutchuei, and the rebuilding of the health centre/education facilities in Akoc Payam.

The conference saw significant attendance from indigenous members and their friends.

Akoc community leader worldwide, Gen. Biar, expressed appreciation for the people of Twic Mayardit for their peacefulness.

“Regardless of the agendas mentioned above, the success of the conference points to the dedication and collaborative spirit of the people in Akoc Payam and Twic County leaders who addressed the challenges facing the local citizens of Akoc Payam.”

He stated that the positive outcome is likely to have a ripple effect, contributing to the overall well-being and advancement of the community under Twic County and Warrap State, exploring developmental opportunities and improving the rural areas of Noon, Thon, and Chuar communities.

Hon. Achan Agoth Akiec, the special advisor to the First Lady Mama Ayen Mayardit and Akoc Payam community leader, who attended the conference, stated that they are dedicated to fostering improved communications in Akoc Payam by partnering with two network operators.
