The newly appointed county commissioner of Kajokeji County in Central Equatoria State, Jackson Wani Mule, has urged the residents of Kajokeji to cooperate with him to effectively deliver essential services to the community.
Mule, who arrived in Kajokeji on Saturday after serving as a member of parliament representing the Sudan People Liberation Movement (SPLM) in the Central Equatoria State Legislative Assembly, called for collaboration with the people of Kajokeji.
“There is no leader who can succeed without working with the people. As I begin my work as county commissioner, I will work diligently to empower you so that we can deliver the services required by the state and the nation,” said Mule during a rally held at Kajokeji Freedom Square in Mere.
David Lisi, the outgoing Kajokeji county commissioner, emphasized the importance of peace and unity among the people of Kajokeji during the handover ceremony.
“I have no grudges; no matter what, I am not the only one who can do it better. I call upon the people of Kajokeji to support the new commissioner. Our sole objective is Kajokeji, not individuals. If we can work together to put Kajokeji in order, we will have no problems,” said Lisi.
Mule, an SPLM member, replaced Yongule Atanasio, whose appointment was revoked within three days. He now takes over the commissioner’s role from David Lisi, who is affiliated with the SPLM-IO party.
Mule was accompanied by notable Kajokeji leaders and elders, including Aggrey Tisa Sabuni, the chairperson of the Kajokeji Community Organization, and Julius Tabuley, the deputy minister of public service, along with other Central Equatoria state leaders.
He was received at the Kajokeji airstrip by former commissioner David Lisi in a cordial atmosphere before heading to the rally at Kajokeji Freedom Square in Mere.
