"We Dare where others fear"

President Salva Kiir Mayardit praised Governor Rin Tueny Mabor on Thursday for enhancing security in Lakes State.
Before Governor Mabor’s appointment in June 2021, the state was plagued by revenge killings, cattle theft, banditry, and other forms of violence unprecedented in the country.
During a meeting at the state house on Thursday, President Kiir commended Governor Mabor for his efforts.
A statement from the Office of the President noted, “President Kiir commended the governor and the citizens of Lakes State for their dedicated commitment to peace over the past four years.”
President Kiir further recognized the people of Lakes State for maintaining peace and stability in their
region and encouraged them to continue fostering an environment conducive to development.
This acknowledgment followed a briefing by Gen. Mabor on the overall security and social situation in the state.
Gen. Mabor assured the President that the state government is committed to ensuring peace and stability are upheld throughout the region.
